Thameswey was set up in 1999 to further Woking Borough Council’s energy and environmental objectives and to enable other local authorities, private companies and social enterprises to participate in schemes which provide energy efficiency and reduce their environmental impact.
To this day, low carbon and renewable energy generation continues to be our core activity. However, the Thameswey Group has grown to include specialist consultancy services, energy efficiency advice, heating and engineering contract services, provision of affordable housing and land and property development. Whilst Thameswey remains a local authority-owned business, we have diversified our customer base and now offer our services and expertise to commercial clients and other public sector customers throughout the UK.
