ThamesWey works alongside Woking Borough Council to deliver the ambitions of the Woking Climate Change Strategy – A Vision for a Net Zero Borough (Oct 2024), partnering with local businesses, community groups and residents to help them reduce their environmental impact and build long‑term resilience. Our work spans a wide range of sustainability themes, each designed to support a thriving, low‑carbon borough.

Swifts in Woking – supporting local wildlife through habitat creation and community engagement.
Domestic Energy Efficiency
Action Surrey – providing impartial advice, trusted installers and access to funding for insulation, heating upgrades and renewable technologies.

Business Energy Smart and LED grant programmes – helping local businesses cut energy use, reduce costs and improve environmental performance.
Waste Reduction
Single-use Plastic Free Market Walk – working with traders and visitors to reduce avoidable waste and promote sustainable alternatives.
Renewable Energy Innovation
Solar PV and battery-storage trials – enabling households and community buildings to generate and store clean electricity.

Improving the sustainability of ThamesWey’s own housing, development and energy infrastructure to reduce carbon emissions and enhance long-term performance.
