ThamesWey is pleased to announce that our main contractor Galliford Try has won a Silver Considerate Constructors Scheme 2020 National Site Award for our Harrington Place development.
The award is presented to projects which adhere to the Considerate Constructors Scheme’s Code of Considerate Practice and demonstrate a high level of consideration towards the public, its workforce and the environment.
The aim of the Considerate Constructors Scheme is to raise standards in the construction industry and is designed to encourage best practice above statutory requirements.
The Code of Considerate Practice considers the following five aspects: Care about Appearance, Respect the Community, Protect the Environment, Secure everyone’s Safety and Value their Workforce.
As one of ThamesWey’s goals is to develop sustainable communities, many of the aspirations associated with the Code of Considerate Practice mirror our own ambitions, including supporting the local community and protecting & enhancing the environment.
Mark Rolt, ThamesWey’s Chief Executive Officer, said “we are delighted to have worked with a contractor on the Harrington Place development whose operational standards are high enough to have won such an esteemed award”.
