In line with Woking Borough Council’s sustainability strategy, Woking 2050, ThamesWey has re-launched its Business Energy SMART Woking project, which aims to promote sustainable good practice by improving the energy efficiency of business premises and reducing energy costs.

Through this project, ThamesWey is currently able to provide small to medium sized businesses in Woking with grants of up to £2,000 to match fund up to a third of the cost of their LED lighting upgrades.

Did you know that upgrading lighting to LED gives a relatively rapid return on investment with potential savings of up to 60% in many cases compared to existing lighting costs.

To calculate the potential savings your business could make from upgrading to more energy efficient lighting, try the Carbon Trust’s useful lighting business case tool – www.carbontrust.com/resources/tools/lighting-business-case-tool/

With energy bills rising and as funding is limited, we would urge you to contact us as soon as possible on 01483 545098 or email info@actionsurrey.org to check your eligibility for support.

*Grants are available to businesses who meet the criteria and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. ThamesWey, a company wholly owned by Woking Borough Council, manages Action Surrey an impartial energy advice centre set up by local councils across Surrey.
