ThamesWey Joins Milton Keynes Low Carbon Living Programme

milton keynes councilThamesWey has been invited by Milton Keynes Council to join a cross-sector partnership of organisations focusing on a range of initiatives relating to planning for a low carbon future in Milton Keynes. The partnership brings together leading academic researchers, industry and service providers and includes Cranfield University, Open University, BT, E.ON, Western Power Distribution, National Energy Foundation and Team Energy. Milton Keynes is one of eight European cities that is receiving European funding to plan for their low carbon futures.  The Low Carbon Living Programme encompasses energy efficiency measures, low carbon transport and energy.

As a major generator and supplier of low carbon energy to homes and businesses in Milton Keynes, ThamesWey has a key role to play in helping to provide the infrastructure to help achieve Milton Keynes ambition to an exemplar low carbon city.
