Domestic Customers

Homes connected to the Thameswey Energy network benefit from cheap clean and green electricity piped in direct from our local energy plants.

These Energy Centres use highly-efficient Combined Heat and Power (CHP) units to generate electricity. This is delivered to homes on Thameswey’s grid through our private wire network.

As well as producing electricity, the Energy Centres also generate heat. Heated water is piped into connected homes and converted into energy that can heat rooms or water.

This power and heat is supplied at a very competitive rate. Creating energy through localised production is also 50 per cent more efficient than power supplied by the national grid.

Crucially, it is also better for the environment, using low carbon technologies which generate significantly lower carbon emissions.

Our CHP engines operate up to 17 hours a day, 365 days a year, to meet the majority of demand from our customers. High efficiency gas boilers provide extra heat for times of peak demand.

Nearly six per cent of all electricity in the UK is now generated through CHP. Thameswey Energy is proud to have been at the forefront of investing in these new energy networks since 2001.
