C-Plan goes live in Yorkshire and Humberside

From 8th May 2013, C-Plan went live across local planning authorities in Yorkshire and Humberside.  In a phased roll out, it will begin with 6 local planning authorities including Sheffield, Wakefield, Doncaster, Scarborough, Hambleton and Richmondshire in the first tranche of the roll out. The second tranche of the roll out will be following shortly.

C-Plan provides a consistent format for developers to submit energy statements online which are analysed against local planning policy requirements before being reported to planning officers using a number of simple indicators and graphical outputs. In addition, C-Plan provides an effective means of gathering environmental information about compliance with a wide range of other planning policies and indicators.

Funded by Yorkshire’s Climate Change Skills Fund, this is the largest single deployment of C-Plan and Yorkshire and Humberside will be the first area to benefit from the release of the latest new version is a new facility for applicants to enable C-Plan to calculate out their developments energy consumption data and Low or Zero Carbon technologies generation figures as well as the alternative option to input their own energy data.
