Thameswey recently hosted the Thailand Business Council for Sustainable Development (TBCSD) who were keen to learn about Woking and our work with low carbon energy technology. This was a study group tour and Delegates were entertained with a lecture, workshop and site visit.
The TBCSD was established in 1993 by H.E. Mr. Anand Panyarachun, a former Prime Minister of Thailand. With a current membership of 37 high profile corporations, TBCSD aims to promote sustainable development in the business community and the wider society.
Woking Borough Council is well-known internationally for its expertise in managing sustainable energy. The visit from the Thai group was the latest of a number of events hosted by Thameswey which have in the past included representatives from Government, academic institutions and businesses in Taiwan, Singapore, USA, Denmark, Russia, Japan and China.
