Sustainable House Building and Development

Thameswey was one of the first developers in the UK to achieve Code for Sustainable Homes Level 5 with its development of 12 new family homes at Brookwood Farm and was featured in a case study by the Zero Carbon Hub.    Our development of 42 new family homes at Rydens Way, Old Woking has applied much of the learning acquired at Brookwood Farm, combining exceptionally high standards of thermal insulation with heat recovery ventilation, rainwater harvesting and roof-integrated PV modules to generating renewable energy.

Our property development arm (Thameswey Developments) carried out the Hoe Valley project comprising extensive flood alleviation works and remediation of contaminated land, along with major highways improvements, a purpose-built new centre for local community organisations and over 10 hectares of new community parkland and open space.  Our collaborative approach to development has led to our joint venture with Rutland Properties Ltd to progress a number of development schemes with an emphasis on community projects including a new village hall, sports pitches and parking facilities.
